The 1989 iroc z-28 is collectable not as much as the 1990 year modle as that was the final year of its existance. If it is a convrtible 3rd gen check the frame since the 3rd gens were not originally ment to be convertibles there were some structural problems occasionally. Also what is his asking price? Otherwise if it only has 28k miles and is in as good of condition as you say it sounds like a verry good buy.
