removing enviromental pollution components

what needs to be done to remove polution control equipment.   I put headers on my 1989 camaro with out the fingers,  the tubes coming out of the headers.   i took off my egr valve and capped it off what else needs to be done and can u cap off the air pump at the bottom

You need to have a state which does not do emissions inspections, and a willingness to violate federal law. Also, yes, you can cap off the AIR pump using threaded plugs. You may also be able to remove it entirely and run a different belt that is smaller and does not included the AIR pump pulley.
