What do You Think?
I just recently purchased a 1989 RS Coupe Camaro V6 2.8L for $1800 and am looking for your opinion on what the actual miles might be on it. It had been sitting in a shed since 1999 until the present. It has had 2 owners(well 3 if you count the dealer). It shows on the title it had 23000 miles back in 1990. The odometer works and shows 49733 miles, but the dealer said he finds it hard to believe that could be actual miles. So it is either a 150000 mile car or a 50000 mile car. Both are possible, but i am leaning towards the 50000 mile choice myself. The car runs very tight, and is great on the highway. It shifts very nice. The motor is very clean. There is no blowby. The oil was full before i drove it 170 miles home, and when i got back home it was still at the same mark. Another thing i noticed is that the clutch and brake pedals are not worn one bit. The exterior is almost perfect, no rust at all. Just a little hail damage. But the downside is that the drivers side floor carpet is very worn. I do not believe it ever had floor mats. The drivers side seat is torn on the left side from people sliding in and out of, which i hear is very common in these cars. The headliner is falling down. Some of the interior damage I know has come from mice because it had been sitting since '99. I have found mice nests everywhere you can think of, it just smells terrible in there. But all the downsides i have mentioned can be fixed very easily. It also can be a hard starter at times.
So if you can think of any other things to check to make me a little more surer on what the miles are on this baby i would sure appreciate your response!

P.S.
If any of you know a good way to get rid of mouse smell please tell me that too.
