I have 1989 6cyl rs it's having trouble starting it's just turning and turning finally I spray carb fluid right into it and it starts right up does anyone have any ideas ???

check for a good strong spark, check ignition timing, clean sparking plugs, rotor arm and distributor cap, also check or replace coil, strip and rebuild carb if you still have trouble

Thank you I'm sorry I didn't mention right in the frist post but it's fuel injected and what I Ment was when I spray starting fluid of carb it would start now it's not all it's doing is turning and turning like its out of gas ... The security light is on but just not sure it was running and driving past summer now I seem to be stuck ... I'm gonna Change plugs And go from there any advise I really appreciate keep them coming thank you !!

check for air in the gas pipes, the malfunction got to be on the gas side if it will try to start on starting fluid
