I have a 88 camaro and I can't get fuel to the throttle body. I've changed fuel pump and filter. The car had been sitting for about 9 years but it was running when it was parked. Any ideas??

I put the car in the shop. They did get it
running but that was only long enough for
them to rob me of $1200. I drove it about 30
miles and it was sputtering and kinda
stalling. The next day it was worse and now
it won't start or anything

will it crank or fire or is it not getting gas is it carberated or fuel injected

if it was sitting for nine years with gas inn the tank the lines are probably geld if it didn't start up

It has a throttle body so I guess it's injected. Before I put it in the shop it would only run if I poured gas in throttle body. The shop supposedly fixed it and it would crank and run for a couple days after I paid them but it was running real rough. Now it's back doing the same it was doing before I put it in the shop. New fuel pump new filter and all the electronics dealing with the fuel system. This car has gone from a dream to a nightmare

hey john i have an 82 camaro that i put a 350 motor in it. i also added an electrical fuel pump instead of the mechanical pump. when i start my car she sounds great and i will put it in drive and start down the road she'll run great for about 2 miles then she sounds like its choking and dies. when i try to restart it in nuetral thers times it will run a lil rough and die when it is put in gear or there are times it won't start back up. what are your suggestions 3 Answers

My 1987 Chevy Camaro 2.8L V6 randomly lost all power while driving at about 55 MPH about 2 weeks ago. Manifolds were fiery hot. I have replaced the fuel filter, fuel pump, mass air flow sensor, and other small things to help it run better. Still nothing. I have a little more power, but it is still weak. I have a 1989 Camaro RS V6. On my way home from work yesterday I noticed that all my guages are floating the speedometer was bouncing around between 60 and 70 sporadically. The temperature gauge, oil gauge, rpm and gas gauge were all floating around when I slow down they all start coming back down? For just a second I smelt a very strong burning smell (electrical) that very quickly faded. The SES light has been on constant the whole time this is happening. Same thing was happening on the way to work this morning car is running and driving just fine. I guess today when I get home I can check the codes to see what codes I get as a starting point and work my way from there. I will also check the ground wires to see if maybe I am not getting good connection somewhere. Could it be my battery by chance?
