2007 Corvette

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am getting a message of "No FOB detected" with both FOBs that have new batteries. The car battery had been disconnected for 3 months while the car sat in a garage. The headlights work and the doors open. Any helpful information? Thank you.

The car will have to "relearn" the key fob. The owners manual should tell you how. Do either of the fobs work?

Neither key fobs work and both have new batteries. I disconnected the car battery to see if it would re set the system. I am 8 states away from the car and manual until November, but will get the manual out when I get back. Thank you.

That won't reset the key fobs. Read the owners manual. They used to relearn if you pressed the lock and unlock for about 10-20 seconds while very close or in the car. Not sure it will work with your Vette.

I found this hopefully it works for you. 1. Turn the ignition key to ON. 2. Clear any warning messages on the Driver Information Center (DIC) by pressing the RESET button. 3. Press the OPTIONS button on the DIC several times until the blank page is displayed, then press and hold the RESET button for two seconds. 4. When the message FOB TRAINING is displayed, press the RESET button once. The message HOLD LK + UNLK 1ST FOB will be displayed in the DIC . 5. Press and hold the lock and unlock buttons on the first transmitter simultaneously for five seconds. 6. When a transmitter is learned (matched), the DIC will display FOB LEARNED and then prompt you to learn the second transmitter. 7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the third transmitter. 8. Remove the key from the ignition.
