Do not believe him, your speakers do not have individual amplifiers and therefore cannot drain your battery by sitting in there designated position. Recently, have you installed an aftermarket Audio System? Please be a bit more specific about running through batteries, how many have you replaced, are the batteries failing to maintain a charge and what "Trouble Code" is the ADSL - diagnostic port generating? The most likely culprit is your battery cables or terminals if the problem is in the battery, I believe you have an alternator problem.
i HAVE A 96 VETTE BATTERY KEPT DYING SO I HAD ALTERNATOR CHECKED THEY SAID IT WAS OK, BUT PROBLEM CONTINUED AFTER REPLACING BATTERY 3 TIMES. A MECHANIC TOLD ME TO DISCONNECT BATTERY AND DISCONNECT WIRES FROM ALTERNATOR AND TAPE THEM UP RECONNECT BATTERY LET IT SIT 4 TO 5 DAYS THEN RECONNECT EVERYTHING IF IT STARTS AND BATTERY IS GOOD THEN THERE IS A SLOW DRAW FROM THE ALTERNATOR THAT A BENCH TEST CANNOT DETECT. I REPLACED ALTERNATOR AND ALL IS GOOD NOW.

i have 86 and my battery would die in 3 days so I took negative cable off put amp/volt tester between cable and battery and was drawing 6 volts,if i didn't drive it at least every 2 days it wouldn't start. So oneday recently the fan came on and wouldn't shut off,I new the sensor to make the fan come on under the throttle body was bad,I replaced that and the fan relay so then the fan came on when it warmed up and the fan didn't run all the time anymore(when car was shut off),well it sat for like 5 or 6 days and i thought well probably need to charge the battery but it has been working fine, and the fan didn't run all the time with the car off when the battery was dieing before so all I know is now it works fine.I don't know how a relay could do this without the fan running but it's cured now.

so I suppose the fan didn't come on because the sensor wouldn't let it but it's still working great
