What transmission do you have and what engine do you have? Is it on black top, concrete or drag strip surface? What is the outside temp, are the tires warmed up or the road surface hot? What type of fuel do you have, is there any after market products on the car, is the air on, is it a convertible or coupe? The stock Corvette has around 400 BHP and 0-60 times in 4.2 seconds and 12.5 seconds in a 1/4 mile. the Z06, has 505 BHP and 0-60 time of 3.6 seconds and 11.7 1/4 mile time. My 1969 Corvette did beat both of these cars several times in head to head competition BTY.

Oh yes, my engine is not stock and I have a 5 speed with low first two gears, no smog either.

The old one's paved the way. As smog became an everyday word, they become a bit sludgy, and fat, but the engineers found a great diet, and energy drink that made our newer Corvettes, (and other cars also) trim and fast. I can't come close to matching the new H.HP Corvettes, but I still turn heads and get thumbs up. :-)
