I own a Honda CRV 2004 A/T. My problem is* When I accelerate after it hits 80KPH the car does not shift to the next gear* even if I ease off the accelerator the car does not shift * if I accelerate then only the rpm increases but not the speed*** What is the problem ?

I own a Honda CRV 2004 A/T 2.2 VVTi FWD . Problem is :
1. When I accelerate after it hits 80 KPH the car does not shift to the next gear
2. if I accelerate then only the rpm increases but not the speed

Start by checking the fluid level and condition. If it is at proper level, and a nice red/pink you may have either a clogged filter screen or your transmission is failing. High mileage? Or even a shift solenoid, much less costly than a rebuilt transmission. An OBDII scan MAYBE will tell you

same problem wid my CRV 2nd gen sometimes it shift nice but sometimes not.. u think its the shift solenoid or clogged filter screen?
