Question type: General

One day My AC was blowing cold to hot back and forth. The next day it wouldn't blow period. I was told it was my blower motor resistor or my blower motor. How can I figure out the problem instead of throwing parts at it

I had a mechanic do that and he said he connected a power supply to the motor and it did work, he said it might be a relay, but he would have to charge me $300 to do any further diagnosis

You may have to find another mechanic because anyone can run power to something to see if it works. If he was a good mechanic he should be able to tell you if it was a fuse , relay or a bad harness connection to fuel pump with out charging you anymore. If he took the time to run a wire to it to see if it works he just could have put a test light to pump wires to see if it had power going to it.

After I had another mechanic check it out he said all the fuses were ok, relay is good, blower is good, he is thinking it is the controller that is run from my touchscreen and it may have something to do with that
