my 2006 honda pilot is making a sound like the subwoffer on a stereo system

Asked by jenhalen Oct 03, 2020 at 05:23 PM about the 2006 Honda Pilot LX

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 honda pilot with 167000 miles on it started making a sound this
morning that sounds like the subwoffer on a stereo system.  The sound starts
when the car is cranked and continues until the car has been driven a few
minutes and then stops.  I friend thought it might be an exhaust problem.
I need to know if this could be the case.

Without us being able to hear it, we can only guess like your friend. Check the exhaust supports and hangers and see if any of the pipes are loose and touching the body.
