Lexus ls400

Asked by lynnb55 Jun 17, 2017 at 08:05 AM about the 1994 Lexus LS 400 RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Took it to fix starter. Said other things were wrong.
Timing belt, replaced it w/kit. Wiring harness was
brittle, replaced it. Said something shorted out had
to replace coil.  Now the car has no excelleration,
jerking, exhaust leak.

woah- that is quite a bit of expensive work on a 20 year old car- you should have been more careful- it sounds like these problems are due to the wiring work that was done- just a guess, because, who knows? I will say that it is time to cut your losses, say adios to the clown mechanic, and just get another car-
