turn on my headlight on my 92 ls 400 and the tranny stops working!! what the ??

i just bought a 1992 lexus ls 400 runs great until i tried to drive it home at night i turn the headlight on and whammo no trans turn em off and i have a transmission! i am slightly confused and upset i just bought the car from a private party can anyone please help

only thing i know to tell youis maby a bad switch,i belive i would take this one to my mechanic,sorry.

This is a mechanic's issue, for sure. Either someone switched some wiring to try to "solve" a problem, or there is a short somewhere. This one will take some diag time and will be impossible to answer without looking over the vehicle in depth.
