2003 Lexus 430SL Locking Itself?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I have a 2003 430SL Lexus which three times it has locked itself and shut down the ability to even start the car. The windows go down, sun roof opens and each were unable to be rolled shut. I can't figure out what causes it to do such, but one guy walking through my local Starbucks saw that I was having that problem and told me to turn the key in the door three time to the right holding it for two seconds. Sure enough it shut the window, sun roof and I was able to start the car. It must have something to do with the break in alarm system? Anyone know the reason for this?

Sounds like "Security" system. Most will start and run for no longer than 10 seconds. The battery inside the key may be low. Believe it or not ... Home depot has your key in the stores Key section but I don't know about the battery The only thing that's not classic to a security problem is they usually won't let you get into gear. If it is the Anti-Theft then you should see a flashing "security" message on your consoule
Has to be security system that is shut down for some undiscovered reason. New key and new battery already so that is eliminated.
My taillights goes off after I cut the car off but 20 seconds later they come back on and will not go back off until you unplug the battery negative post
