Drove an immaculate 2009 LS 460 this weekend. It has been on this small dealers lot for 3-4 months, moved from here to there. Price has been dropped again into the high $16K range. I got into the car and the average mileage showed 10.6 MPG. I am hoping that isn't legit? Car has near 100K on it and runs like new.

Sounds like city driving but it is what it is.
The MPG rating goes down when the vehicle is running/idling and you're not moving. The 10MPG isn't anything to worry about, it just means the car hasn't really been driven outside the parking lot for a while. I can offer a positive comment about this car, if you're considering buying one. I bought a 2009 LS460 two years ago at Carmax and the price was Corolla money. It had 10k miles. It now has 34k miles and I've gotten to know the car. It's a good reliable car, and I've had no issues with mine. I get overall 19.9mpg. In city conditions or driving with a heavy right foot, expect 16mpg. On the open road, cruising, 25mpg. I find the brakes to be very "toe-touch" sensitive but once used to them the car drives like a giant sofa on wheels. Plenty of power, Mark Levinson will blow your mind and everything feels comfortable. It is a very well-put-together machine. Handles admirably (AWD) in the heavy winter snow we get.

AWD vs RWD? Maybe 1 mpg better in the RWD.
