Sounds like a large vacuum leak

If you don’t have access to a OBDC 2 Device try the following. a. Check the gas cap gaskets condition b. If the gasket looks worn or split, order a new gasket. c. The part no. 77416-16010 is less $15 d. A new Lexus gas cap is about $30 e. Non-OEM caps are cheaper but lower quality

When someone performs air cleaner service a vacuum hose can accedentally be pulled off or in my case the hose was dry rotted. The hose is attached to a line near the firewall below the air box and the other end is attached to the mass air flow sensor between the head and the air box on top.
