Car is dead but every time I turn the key, the VSC light comes on real quick?

Asked by Emorri24 Jan 25, 2018 at 10:51 AM about the 2003 Lexus RX 300 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Guys I need help. My car died. I got it
jumped- thought everything was cool. had
it running for a while. My lights started to
flicker...I was still worried. Then my doors
wouldn't automatically lock. Aaaaand then
we were dead again. This time though,
when I tried to see if it at least clicked, the
the VSC light would come on quickly. No
other light came on though. I'm casually
freaking out if it is the zero-callibration
because a lexus dealership is within an
hour both directions from here. And 2.
What happens if I jump it again and it does
the same thing but while I'm driving?
Hoping y'all can help out. I have no idea
what's going on. What do you guys think
this means?

sounds like low battery voltage,if the battery is 4 years old or older its due for a replacement.

I guess I should also mention that the battery is only a year old... My boyfriend mentioned that and I just hit my head on the stearing wheel and angrily groaned. Would a battery fully die (dead dead) that quickly?

Got it tested. You were right But I'd honestly rather have this easy problem than my other issues I've been having lately. Turns out it was extremely dead. This is my first winter and my battery came from Florida and I am not in the know with batteries dying from the contrast. Whoops. Thank you!
