Can I put tires size 215/70/16 on RX Lexus 300 AWD?

Asked by GuruDZJMZ9 Jan 08, 2024 at 01:28 PM about the 2002 Lexus RX 300 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Tires on car are 225/70/16 but Town Fair Tire doesn't sell that size for my car
any longer. The new tires would be all weather with 3pms rating.

You can but you probably won’t be happy with the handling. Find a place that has the correct tires. Maybe they can order your size. Remember this an an AWD vehicle so all the tires must match size and manufacturer or you can kiss the transfer case bye bye.

If you are replacing all of them, you can. Your speedometer will register a little faster than your actual speed.
