I have a 1999 Lexus RX300. The plain ignition key will work. My dupe won't start the car

I have a 1999 Lexus RX300. I order a key blank off the internet. My Lexus
dealer cut the key for me. It will lock and unlock. It will crank the starter over
and over. It will not start. My ordinary factory (valet) key works fine. Any
ideas?

Hey guys, I don't have the master. Since posting, I've been able to figure out that programming the remote does not program the key, and that I'm going to need dealer or locksmith with the right equipment.
You need a chipped key which must be programmed to your car.
Hi I have a 1999 Lexus RX 300 that will not start same issue have a slave key had a locksmith out the created a key programmed it to the car and it still doesn't start it seems like maybe there's no fuel getting to it because when you put starter fluid in the engine it'll fire up so something is keeping the fuel from getting to where it needs to go I don't know if it's a badd fuel pump or if it's a safety feature from an alarm that cannot be removed does anybody have any ideas ? Everything else has been checked out the last thing to do is to test the feel pumped to see if it's functional but I can't seem to get anybody to do it because it's so labor intensive

Please write me if you found out the answer. My name is Cheyne Orndoff and live in San Luis Obispi. I have the same exact issue.
A simple dupe won't work. It will turn the starter motor, but never ignite the engine. It has to be registered with the use of the Master key. Unless you "know a guy", you're looking at $300 or more from a Lexus dealer.

If you have a key that can start the car additional keys can be programed (1999 rx300) NO need to visit dealer. . . in case anyone views this in 2021
