VCS-Engine Light-just noticed antenna missing

Asked by JDee3015 Dec 12, 2016 at 01:50 PM about the 2005 Lexus RX 330 FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My VSC and check engine light came on suddenly
Saturday while traveling in a mild snow storm. I was told it
would go off shorting as the car was not getting traction
because of the snow.  Two days later, both are still on
and I realized today my antenna's point is missing.  While
I may need a new car, my budget say no.  I am fanatical
about doing what it takes to keep my car maintained.  I
have over 208,000 miles and plan to get more.  I cannot
manually do a lot.  I took it to my neighborhood car repair
and was told I needed to take it in to the dealer.  Help!

Get the codes read to know what is going on. I seriously doubt your antenna has anything to do with your current problems.
