I just experienced the same thing today. My RX 350 is about three months old. It was blazing hot! I hope they can fix it. It sounds like this might be an issue with these vehicles.

Okay, I have seen this issue mentioned online a few times, but never resolved, so I wanted to be sure and post what I found out. It might save some people the time of driving to the dealership. My climate control was on AC for the driver and heat for the passenger side. I rarely have passengers, but at some point, one of them closed the vent on their side of the car. This meant the heat was being directed through the ductwork in the console into the back seats! And it was HOT on my leg that was touching the console! Bottom line: Check your climate control and make sure your vents are open in the dashboard.

My RX350 2015 is having problems also with the center console getting very hot when the seat heater is turned on.. when off it cools back down and is fine. It scares me. Should i have it disconnected? The climat control was on heat for both sides so that isn’t it. Thank you.

You guys feel this is a problem, I find it really helpful for bringing home rotisserie chicken.

My GX 460 center console has bubbled in 2 spots - Lexus dealer changed it & it happened again ... Dealer thinks a reflection from where I park it is causing the problem I doubt it ... Any thoughts

If you close all the vents except those on the driver's side the heat will build up in the consule. The solution is to open all the vents, passenger front and back. Had the same problem and that corrected it
