Asked by DMV_area May 29, 2020 at 10:29 PM about the 2007 Lexus RX 350 AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my car home while I stopped behind a traffic red light, and the
car turned off by itself without any warning light comes on beforehand.
I tried to start it and it does turn on, but in less than a second it turns off by
itself and also the engine has a squeaking sound.
I checked the gas pump and it works properly, and also the battery and
alternator are fine.
I would appreciate your ideas of what might be wrong with it.

Update: The problem was the A/C compressor which was jammed and did not allow the engine to work. By changing that the problem solved. Hopefully it helps somebody out there and you don't need to pay $1200 for the part and repair, if you can do it by yourself.
