L82 4speed, power windows, leather interior, luggage rack , rally wheels, Motor was recently professionally rebuilt(with less than 8000 miles. Original met. orange paint, never been wrecked until now!etc. I think the insurance is trying to pull a fast one on me.  Eveyone I looked at so far with same extras, has been 18,000-
24000 dollars.

Take some comps of the other cars you have looked at to the insurance company and show them that other vehicles like yours are selling for the higher dollars in similar condition. There's not much else you can do unfortunately.
