What is the widest tire you can put on a 75 Corvette front and rear? Will 255/70R15 work?

I think you would be fine with those tires, but check with the people you are buying your tires from, they will tell you for sure if you're doing something that will work or not.
Yes you can actually run 255/60/15. Thats what I run on the 74 with stock rally wheels
I put 235/60's on the rear. They are rubbing the new parking break cable. It appears the cable length between the 2 brackets (1 on the trailing arm & 1 on the frame) is about 1" to 2" too long. Has anyone run into this. This part of the new cable has a very stiff outer plastic sleeve with the ends fitted to be mounted in the 2 brackets I mentioned above. Also the parking brake bracket welded to the trailing arm is lest than 1/8" from rubbing the tires???
Elrod, Are you running after market wheels with a different offset from the factory?
Krez, not sure. We bought it about a yr ago and it had chrome wheels with brand new 276/60's on it. Wheels also had the GM center caps on them.
Hey why dont you throw up some photos of your car and pictures of them wheels :)
I had a '77 that had 295's on the rear and 255's on the front, with a slight mod on the e-brake cable.
