Value of my late fathers 1977 vette, salvage title
Asked by Harbisgirl Jul 02, 2018 at 06:34 PM about the 1977 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
Question type: Car Selling & Trading In
Hello,
My FIL passed away and we need to sell his restored 1977 corvette. It's beautiful
inside and out. While digging up the paperwork we discovered that it has a Salvage
title. Heartbreaking! KBB doesn't go back to 1977 and Nada Guide doesn't have an
option for salvage title, so I have no idea what to price it at. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Selling it outright. Although trading it in didn't even occur to me. If we were to trade it in, does that change anything?

Assetguys, it's very clean. The seem to be going for about $9k-$15k here so we were going to ask for $11k and see what happens. Now I'm thinking I'll start at $9k?

Start high and take what you feel is a good price. If you want to disclose the title, do it. Why or what was the selvage from. Flood? If it was gone through, it should not be a problem. If it was in a wreck, make sure the four wheels can be fun straight. Is it setting even? Have the frame checked if it was in a collision. A good Corvette shop can help you with the car. But that year is the low end of the C-3 Corvettes due to smog issues, low HP. A lot of Corvette owners got this late C-3 and made it into a fine running automobile. You have the history of what was done? Take it with you to the mech. Good luck. Perhaps you should drive it and fall in love with it,
