new battery! head lights work ! rest of car is dead! rpm needle pegged! any solutions?

had to jump my 78 corvette yesterday, car ran good then would not start found out battery was dead, replaced it and
car is still dead.. not sure why??

IF YOU HAVE NO ELECTRICAL AT ALL WITH A NEW BATTERY, THEN SOME WHERE SOME THING IS NOT CONNECTED. WHICH COULD ALSO BE CREATING A LIVE SHORT. L.IGHTS ARE A DIRECT CONNECT, THE REST IS ALL RELAYS & SWITCHES. TRY YOUR LOCAL SPEED SHOP, IF POSSIBLE THEY WILL HELP YOU WITH THIS.
