C4 are the cheapest apparently of the corvette other than 75 thru 82 completely restored 76 is around $12,000 (made so many those years)from what i found out cause i bought one with 68,000 original miles thinking i had something. Then traded my 95 ford pick up for my 85 just to find that it was an even trade but i really like them and thats all that matters to me. Corvette was always the only american made sports car they had Deloreans no comparing that 6 cylinder, goul wing doors so what ,Before that they made a Pantera, they were ok but no Corvette, the only car produced that is an american sportscar that comes close is a Viper,if it is a four seater it's not a sportscar, such as a Mustang i have a few of them there fast but no Corvette. The good thing about the early C4's is easy to work on i've found the later ones are a pain in the butt.Still love Corvettes though greatest American made sports car ever.
It seems to me that the 84 seem pretty rare. I mean I don't think its going to be worth alot, but I know that their is no 83 and that the 84 is the first vette to start using all the emissions bs and from what I seen and know alot of parts got changed up and modified in the following year.

they did make 83's but destroyed all but one and it's in the Corvette Meusem they changed to Bowling Green,Kentucky factory that year and supposedly some other things not really talked about, the best way would be look up how many were made that year it is a fact that rarity makes things worth more, does yours still have all the original equipment that a big part of it being worth more also, either way mine first year of TPI and if it's 230 hp like they say it sure runs good for that little bit of horse power and i have 4 foxbody Mustangs and a couple V8 S10's one with to 4 barrels which yea there probably alittle faster in quarter mile but there 300 plus hp,Gotta love those Vette's have fun with it
So, I did my research and it appears that my 84 is the second highest produced corvette. Second to the 79, with 53,807 and my 84 there was 51,547 produced. This is not including C5 or C6 generations. http://www.oddrob.com/corvetteStats.asp

i bought a RV with a Gen V TPI 454 high perf 4 bolt main my next venture is to put that in my 86 then it won't be factory but it will be 1 fo 1 that i know of,you can always do your own thing it's still a vette so it'll only be cooler.
yeah, thats true. I was thinking about tweeking the engine a little bit. Do you think that it is better to bore it out and build off what what you got or try and get a whole newer model engine with more hp and torque. People keep telling me that I can bore it out and moditify it to the point where I can get atleast 500 hp out of her easily.
