Just bought a 84 vette with the cross fire injection system, every time you give it gas,it tries to die .The car is really not driveable at this time.Is it worth putting money into this set-up or should I change the set-up to a 4 barrel carb?

I had one of those. I never had an issue like that. I did have some vapor lock issues on really hot days but I fixed that with some aluminum foil. At 205hp, I don't think I would put a carb on it and degrade it any further. Check fuel filter then the fuel pump and throttle bodies.
