heater core removal

if you get a haynes manual, it will have the steps and a few pics. FYI thou, they built the car around the heater core.... LOL
Don't Waste Your Money On A Manual..The Manual Will Say Something like..Remove XXXXX, But A Book Will NOT Show Or Tell You All You Need To Do To Acomplish This Task. A Step By Step To Remove A Heater Coar Is Very Hard To Do. 1) The Heater Coar Is Closer To The Fender (Pass side) The E-Vap For The AC Is Closer To The Center Of The Dash. You Will Need To Determin On What Side Of The Firewall The Fasteners Are On, In Engine Bay Or In Cockpit. 2)Drain The Coolant From The Car FIRST, Or You Will Have A Big Mess INSIDE The Car. 3)Locate The Blend Air Box...(Like The Book ((Remove)) Air Box. This Will Take Some Time To Do, You Need To Remove Almost Every Thing UNDER The Dash Or Atleast Move It Aside. Once You Can See The Coar Your Almost Home. * Removing Heater Hose From Core (DANGER) On A Broken Coar..Who Cares BUT On A Good Core NEVER NEVER Twist The Hoses To Remove Them. This Will Twist The Coar And Make It FAIL Now Or In The Near Future. Cut A Slit In The Hose With A Razor At The Coar,,OR Use A Hook Or A Hose REMOVAL Tool (Looks like A Badly Bent All) And Do NOT Twist Hoses Putting Them On Either. Replace Core And Reassemble In The Reverse Order. I Like To Do....Go To A (U-Pull-IT) Junk Yard,,Find Same Car,Or Close To It..This Way If You SMASH The Dash Or Brake Something,,,NO Big Deal..It's A Junk Car..See What It REALY Takes To Do The Task At Hand.
