Question type: Shopping & Pricing

Car was a total loss due fire under hood. Wanted to get a Fair Market Value estimate for insurance purposes. 1987 Blue Corvette coupe - 125,000 miles, regular oil changes and maintenance, excellent body & paint, transmission and suspension package, 5.7 - 350 engine, original Corvette rims.

Is that pic before the fire or after the fire?? Whatever... engine fire equals pile of junk. What you have is a parts car. It might be worth about 3K if everything else is good. Worst looking Vette ever made JMO. I saw a 95 sell last week for 3500 needed engine and trans looked good no fires. So there ya go..... 87 worth a lot less....

If you were going to buy a 1987 Corvette that had been in a fire under the hood, what would you pay for it? Maintenance records don't mean squat as most everything needs to be pulled and rebuilt due to the fire. High mileage also shows most parts are tired and in need of replacement if you rebuild it. $2500? If that.
