battery

I want to remove my battery in my 1987 corvette, but want to ensure I do it correctly.  Any suggestions

Disconnect ground first and move the cable out of the way, then disconnect the positive (red) terminal. be careful of any acid residue at the top of the battery. you can sprinkle baking soda on top to neutralize it first.
