engine temperature for 1988 Corvette

Asked by Shaeranne Oct 29, 2015 at 04:09 PM about the 1988 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Need to know what the normal ranges are for my engine temperature before it overheats and in the danger zone so that I can watch it.   When sitting at a stop sign or light I know it runs higher before the fan kicks on..  Can someone please tell me what the NORMAL ranges should be?   Is going up to 240 okay and if not do I need to change out my thermostat?   I changed it out 4 years ago..   Thanks.
