Horn

Asked by Curtis Apr 25, 2016 at 11:49 AM about the 1989 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe RWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ok. I asked before about the horn on my 1989
corvette. I know the horn assemblies work, I hear a
clicking sound under the center dash, I've replaced
the module under the dash but the clicking sound
continues. Can anyone give me some advice and
not sarcastic remarks please.

Silly question. No where do you say you tested the horn independently and it worked. If you are getting 12 volts to the horn when the horn switch is activated, it is either a ground on the horn not making contact, or something in the horn assembly itself. If you are not getting 12 volts to the horn assembly when it is activated by the switch, work back until you find where the power is and work forward. Fuse? Connections? wiring good? horn switch sending power/electricity through it? Follow the electricity.
