Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently had to have cv boots replaced due a tear.  Since then the whenever I accelerate the car has a wobble felt through floor and seats. No steering wheel shimmy or wobble.  Garage that did repair say that they can see nothing wrong, and must be bad tire.  Replaced tires, still has "wobble on acceleration.

The cv axel they put the boot on,may be bad now,if they removed it and put boot on,or did they just put a wrap around boot on it.

I would also like an answer to this question on a 2006 Avalon. I have had wheel bearing hub replaced but when I accelerate my back tire wobbles and it is getting worse. I have put on all new tires because I was told that was the problem but it still wobbles. So if I have a CV axle going out will it cause this problem???

Mine the same yr same problem. Changes with more air in the tires gets better. Im hearing worn out struts. Will couse it. Mine will also start a really hard bounce front wheels if i floor the eccelerator from a stop. Start bouncing. I have to let off the gas and take of easy. Im guessing strutts look up how long them strutts should last. Does not seem like wat a cv joint would do. No clicking around corners. No noises of any king. Just bouncing at hard ecceleration or a wobble with normal eccelerating

I replaced both half axles with rebuilt ones. Similar problem, wobble on acceleration, vibration at 40 to 60 mph- worse while accelerating. Stripping all wheel weights and rebalancing all wheels took away wobble but not vibration. Your thoughts?

I have the same vibration on 2014 Avalon between 47 and 52 mph. I rebalanced tires and had the cv boots checked and they were fine, however, the vibration is still happening. What's going on? Certainly, with many others having this problem, you would think Toyota would investigate and resolve, but obviously they don't give a damn.
