2006 Toyota Avalon will shift gears but will not move and on the digital display it says shift back to park when its in drive or reverse. What could be the problem?

Check the fluid level but your transmission is probably due for a rebuild. Take it to a good transmission shop.

The fluid level is good with no brunt smell to it. I got stuck in the mud and I trued to get out but when I tried to get out my wheels wasn't spinning at all and now it starts fine but when u shift it into drive or reverse it won't move
