2006 Camry will not initialize the starter solenoid. Suspect anti theft device
I have a 2006 Camry. Shut the car off and went to use it again and it will not start. Suspected the battery was dead. Jumped the battery and no luck. Changed the batter with no luck. During this time, the lights an interior lights worked fine. Radio would come on. Gage lights would work, but when you turned to start vs. ignition, the speedometer and gages lit needle would go out during the start phase of the switch. Suspected the starter may have failed since it did not engage. took the starter off an had it tested at autoparts store. starter was good. Tried to test the starter on the car to verify the circuit. with no luck. 12v batter lead to starter had 12v. Starter wire to solenoid has 12v when switch is turned to start position. Checked all the fuses, all seem good Checked the starter relay in the fuse block and good. Checked all fuses under the dash and good. Removed the start relay and tried to hot wire jumper o the solenoid with no luck. After checking the fuses under the dash, the radio would not work, the windows would not work. The power lock does work as well as the lights and interior still. Suspect the antitheft device, but confused as to why I have the 12v going to the starter unless he antitheft robs the 12v to a level below the ability to pull in the starter solenoid. I don't see the antitheft red light (on the dash I think) lit at all or blinking. I don't recall from memory if it should or shouldn't.
Any suggestions of where to go from here or if here is a way to reset the antitheft
