Door lock/unlock issues

Question type: General

When the vehicle is off and I hit the unlock
button on the fob once (unlock driver door) or
twice (unlock all doors), the vehicle locks all the
doors if a door isn’t opened in about 20 or 30
seconds, which is very frustrating when
unlocking the doors from inside my house to get
to the car to grab something.



Also when remote starting the vehicle if another
door is opened in the car and it doesn’t detect
the FOB, it shuts off in about 15-seconds which
is very frustrating when loading a toddler into
the car during winter.



Any suggestions?

Read the owners manual, there maybe a setting in the menu items for this, if not then the dealer needs to check it out. Another future Hyundai lemon.

Nothing in the manual unfortunately, just auto lock / unlock based on being in Park etc. It's a hugely frustrating 'feature'.

Then head back to the dealer and get the sales and or service to help with the problem, this really doesn’t sound safe switch an toddler or infants

My 08 Grand Marquis does that. Your Dealer may be able to reprogram the BCM, for a fee, to eliminate that. Hope that helps! Jim
