What if someone over torques the head bolts on a 1994 Ford Escort 1.9 literwhat if the center bolt are 80 pounds and the next outer 2 rows are 50lbs and the 4 outside bolts are 80 lbs

When I checked them I backed the 6
boltts that were over torqued to 74 lbs
then the other for I torqued them to 74
lbs

You can damage the head and block. Why are you taking the head bolts off? If the bolts where that far over torqued I would send the head out to make sure it's not warped, cracked or damaged.

Use new head bolts when putting it back together and torque them in the right order and foot pounds.
