Hi cryngwind, The clockspring is located on the end of the steering column just below the steering wheel. The wiring for the items on the wheel are routed through the 'clockspring' so they wind and unwind as the wheel is turned. The airbag is included in this wiring so be careful! There may be more than one connector in there depending on model year. You may have a loose connector. You can change one of these yourself, but be very careful, as mentioned before the airbag circuit is in there and the 'spring' can become 'unwound' and you will have a mess on your hands. If in doubt, take it to a professional mechanic! Good luck!
