jip it could be, take car to repair shop they check the system for free, im guessing there is no gas in your system.

Is it wet with oil, if so it looks like it may be leaking. You could put a dye in the system to check for the source of the leak...

They sell refrigerant at the parts store with dye in it, you dont need alot just enough to pressurize the sytem about 125 lbs or so, snice you have a leak it will come out. Let it run for a few days and you should be able to locate the leak, good luck.

My 2003 Toyota Corolla with 175,000 miles was showing the check engine light. My friend ran a check and the code P0770 came up, which is Shift Solenoid 'E' Malfunction. When I'm on the freeway, I do notice my car is slow on accelerating, but my MPG is fine. How much would it cost to get this fix? Also, would I fail the California SMOG check?
