my 2006 corolla air condition one problem,inside room temperature even is not cool enough compressor turn off by it self , cannot get a/c maximum

The ventilation for drawing outside air in, or re-cycling the same air is the middle button between the A/C on -off and the rear window defroster. Right directly under the clock. When the button is pushed, and the green light is on, you are on 'recycled' air. Not drawing in outside air. You must also turn the dial knob - with the red and blue stripes all the way left until it clicks. But nothing works with the fan on "off"...turns entire A/C system off, must be on at least low speed. I have the same car, '06 LE

Now, the compressor is not going to be engaged at all times, it cycles on and off --this is normal. Even on MAX A/C
