Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2006 Corolla LE low beams/DRL stopped working. The high beams and parking lights are working. Checked the fuses in the main fuse box and they all appear to be good. the owners manual indicated another fuse box on the lower left hand side of the dashboard but I can't find it.

That fuse box up under the dash, left of the steering wheel, is behind the little flip-down coin holder and is a real pain to access. I have an '06 Corolla LE. The DRL's are low beam, low wattage and have a separate fuse for left and right. They are fuses #15 and #16. But when they both go out at the same time, possible but unlikely it might be the headlight module, way up behind glovebox

That image is not complete. But all I could find... up behind glovebox is another module. not shown, for headlights

The Toyota dealer near me has a contortionist midget on duty to change fuses. That's about what it takes

Don't bother with all the above.Combination switch contacts have worn out. Remove lower cowling from steering wheel. Remove switch. On rear of switch is a plastic cover, slowly unclip it. There are three brass contacts, turn on lights with switch plugged in and press on the contacts. If lights come on simply with fine flat screw driver, lift up from end and bend down contact. Third one in from edge. Over time contacts arch causing lose on contact. FIXED NO THANKS TO ALL THE ABOVE. COST ME $0.00
