my 94 ranger sputtering and running rough went to jump the odm and pull codes but the check engine light stays lit and doesnt flash, any answers

Small truck 4 banger.do quick tune up .plugs/points/wires.needs it anyway

tuned it up, now blowing out black soot out of tail pipe when I get it reved up, will rev up no problem till I pushed the pedal all the way in and it bogs down
