I take it the headlight switch is on the turn signal shaft? If so, it seems almost certain it's that switch assembly which is behind the steering wheel. Make sure it doesn't have an airbag, remove the steering wheel, and the switch is actually quite easy to change on most cars. If the headlight switch is on the dash, it's still very likely that same switch assembly behind the steering wheel, but instead of the headlight switch, it's the dimmer switch. Good luck! DO NOT do any of this if it has an airbag unless you REALLY know what you're doing! Those things are very dangerous when you're working around them.
