transmission swap

Question type: Car Customization

I have two 1994 ford ranger xlt trucks. One regular
cab. One extended cab. Extended cab is good
condition. Other than the auto trans is toast. It has
the 3.0 auto. The regular cab has the 2.3 5 speed.
Question is.... Can i swap the 5 speed trans from
the 2.3 into the 3.0 auto truck. Reason for doing
this is because i hit a deer in the regular cab. Any
insight info and knowledge is welcomed

Where are the Answers here? I found no answers for what trams will fit a 2.3 automatic? ?

The 2.3 transmission will not fit the 3.0 Thay have different bolt patterns
