Ford Ranger

I own a 94 Ranger, it’s a 5-speed manual an it has a
light for 4x4 and for low range on the dash but i
don’t have a button to activate it. How can i activate
the 4wd?

The buttons are supposed to be just above the radio beside the heater vent on the instrument cluster side in the electric transfer case version
