Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a  2006 chevy Malibu Maxx
SS and today I got in my car and
when I started it the temperature
gauge was stuck on cold and my
AC isn't working neither. And when
I got home i disconnected both
battery cables and cleaned the
battery terminals and cable ends
and the the temperature gauge
and AC both worked for about 15
or 20 minutes and then the
temperature gauge dropped to
cold and my AC started blowing
warm air again. Does anyone have
any idea what my problem could
be

I was thinking that might be the issue because the car had been wrecked before I got it and they have 2 ground wires grounded to the body ! Do you think if I relocated them to maybe the sub frame it would be a better ground source ?
