I have a 95 monte carlo stalls when put in gear or while coming to a stop

did it do that before you did any work to it?????????

Nope never had a problem i was driving one day and it just stopped when i pulled up to work checked the codes it said it was the camshaft put replaced it and its still doing the same thing i am going to replace the ecu hopefully that helps

I have had problems with it but nothing like this it will start and run good but then it just dies i put it in gear it cherps the tires then dies

If its an automatic ( Toque Converter Clutch Soilnold ).

Ok i have thought about that just havent done it it said camshaft when i hooked up the tester it shot out a couple codes i replaced the cam shaft sensor but still doing it when i do get it to run it jerks alot rpm shoot up and down then we coming to stop it dies

The car sat for about two years i have a mechanic but he says it is the ecu i took the ecu out and opened it there was dust and moisture in it could a ecu cause the problem and send faulty codes? Ive always had a problem that when i put it in gear in jumped real hard but i was told it was motor mounts

I have read the codes it had 4 1.p0740 witch is the transmission range circut 2.p0705 witch is the tcc p0341 witch is the camshaft but I replaced that and 4.p1640 witch is the ecm. But i did not read codes till after i put all the work into it couldnt get someone with a tester for a dohc obd1 lol

Ok ive disconnect the tcc still having same problems the car will not stay running just dies out will start again but dies ill put it into gear and get a half a block and it dies it hesitates to pick up speed and jerks into gear i was told disconnecting the tcc should help. It took the jerk away but still dies any ideas?

did you ever figure the problem out I'm having similar issues
