Overheating

Asked by GuruHKYWN Jul 28, 2019 at 02:58 PM about the 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced the radiator, thermostat, temperature sensor and water pump. It
would go months in between repairs. Now it is overheating regularly. I have
350,000 mostly highway miles. I'm told it must be the head gasket at a cost of
$1000. Any suggestions?

You can go to auto zone or any auto parts store, they have a product that that you pour in radiator will stop most leaks, cost about 7.00 to 8.00 $, of course the best and safest way is to replace gasket. If you shop around it is possible to get repaired for 500.00 to 600.00
