If the car won't even crank it may be something else ... most security problems allow the car to crank,, run for a few seconds than quit or not start at all

Engine fails to crank ?? ...or cranks but wont start ?? or start/dies repeatedly?? What part number is on the box of the replaced part ?? We use the term crank because you turn your engine crankshaft with a starter like the first engines crank was turned with a crank handle. "engine turns over" would mean the crank turns against resistance normally, overcomes it. has enough strenth to do so. Engine starts means the plug fires the fuel charge. start/ run means continues to run after. start /dies means wont stay running after a sec or 2. Please identify the symptom or what it lacks to be clear. THEN, what was replaced the tumbler and key ? or the part that is an electrical switch actuated by the tumbler and key? also called ignition lock cylinder and key....Then we can understand what the symptom is.
